Milkweed is a complex flower that carries medicine of sacred and supported transformation. Milkweed is a very important plant for pollinators – one of it’s key relationships is with Monarch butterflies. Monarch butterflies cannot survive without milkweed. They are both a host plant and a food source for Monarch caterpillars – they see them through major metamorphosis of life. Milkweeds flowers are glorious and highly complex.
Life, death, rebirth, transmutation, crossing thresholds – milkweed holds that space. Milkweeds initiate the healer, they call presence to the true self. Flower essence of milkweed is an excellent ally during times when these themes resound.
